Apryl Perez

Apryl Perez’s undying passion and competitive edge for athletics and creating optimal holistic sports medicine has been the driving force in her life.  Apryl began her athletic career at the young age of 2.  Both Apryl’s parents have been life long dedicated athletes, so the progression to begin competitive athletics at an early age was only natural.  Apryl spent the majority of her life as an elite and professional athlete, traveling and training across the country.

Also being raised holistically and very non-traditionally, Apryl relied on their family Chiropractor and Soft Tissue Bodyworker as the vital keys to her life and training regiment.  This foundation of athletics and holistic therapy began Apryl’s fascination with the body, functional movement and holistic medicine.  As Apryl grew as a competitive athlete, so did her ability to keenly listen to her body and its needs.  From that space, her intuitive gift poured through and developed intensely.  By the age of 14 Apryl was clear where to focus her life, career and mission.

Apryl believes what actually makes an athlete unique is not just the physical demands of their body, but the psyche behind the physical demands and everything they do in life.  That psyche then stores within the tissues of body and energy systems that either inhibit or enhance performance.  Apryl feels that this is why most people don’t understand what an athlete truly needs in order to succeed.  It is usually the catalyst where frustration sets in and a lot of careers sadly end.  Apryl’s been that frustrated athlete with people treating her that had no concept of what her body and mind went through on a daily and weekly basis, even beyond training.  Apryl’s goal is to make things simple and extremely effective for an athlete to get what they need not just for the short term of their career, but for the optimal performance of the rest of their life.

Apryl’s specializes in completely unwinding the body so that it can function optimally.  She created her system of unwinding by fusing together two key components: deep manual/structural bodywork and physical movement re-education.  Through this fusion, the body gets the opportunity to “reset” and start healing itself immediately, resulting in a Phenomenal Physique.

Apryl’s path as a devoted athlete and medical/wellness professional has been nothing short of interesting and constantly expansive.  Apryl competed as a level 10/elite gymnast the majority of her life.  She was also the first female wrestler in the mid-west, competing for two years.  She then danced professionally and competed fitness professionally for seven years.  She ran her first marathon in Hawaii of 2006 and still currently participates in numerous athletic activities on a weekly basis.  Apryl’s educational background consists of the following:

  • Undergraduate work in Nutrition Science and Business at Indiana University
  • Over 2,000 hours of training in Manual Massage and Structural Integration Bodywork at Colorado School of Healing Arts
